Service for People with Intellectual Disabilities with HKCDF, NAAC & Happy Tree Social Services
Under the leadership of Dr Eilly Lau, and in collaboration with the Hong Kong Christian Dental Fellowship, the Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council, Happy Tree Social Services and the Dental Public Health Committee (Dental Society, HKU), the Society of Preventive Dentistry of Hong Kong organized a dental outreach for individuals with special healthcare needs. The program successfully served 195 patients with intellectual disabilities coming from 9 NAAC centers on December 10, 2023.
Basic oral examination, scaling, fluoride therapy, filling, extractions, and even several root canal treatments were conducted. Afterwards, participants and their caretakers took part in oral health education game booths, as well as oral healthcare talks, organized by the concerted efforts of BDS, MDS and PhD student helpers. The game booths and health talks provided guidelines and hands-on practice for participants, on how to maintain good oral health and prevent oral diseases.

聯同香港基督徒牙醫團契、鄰舍輔導會、開心樹社會服務為智障人士提供服務
在劉惠心牙科醫生的領導下，香港預防齒科學會與香港基督徒牙醫團契、鄰舍輔導會、開心樹社會服務和香港大學牙醫學會口腔衛生推廣委員會合作，為特殊醫療需求人士組織了一次牙科外展活動。該計劃於2023年12月10日成功為來自9個鄰舍輔導會中心的195名智力障礙患者提供服務。
活動包含基本口腔檢查、洗牙、氟化物預防治療、補牙、拔牙，以及數個根管治療。隨後，參與者及其家人、照顧者一同參加了由香港大學牙科本科生，碩士生和博士生共同舉辦的口腔健康教育遊戲攤位以及口腔護理講座，為參與者提供了口腔衛生指導和手把手教學，教授他們如何保持良好的口腔健康，預防口腔疾病。
藉此亦向本次活動的贊助商高露潔和獅王香港獻上謝意，感激他們慷慨捐贈紀念品和一直本會的外展活動。
